HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR MYO DESIGN OR MYO EDITS
Submitting your MYO design:
To submit your MYO note the group Darling-Dainties with your note title being “MYO - (insert your username here)” In your note you need the following:
If you got your slot through trade/gift, the tracker needs to be updated to show that you're the current owner! This is to prevent false slots/theft!
Submitting your MYO edit:
To submit MYO edits, note the group Darling-Dainties with your note title being “Edits - (insert your username here)” In your note you should include both your redesign (on sta.sh or gyazo) and the original design's Dainty-Dictionary listing! So there should be two links in your note!
DAINTY EDITING GUIDE
To me, one of the most fun things about Dainties is that there's a lot of creative wriggle room design-wise in between all their traits and their lore! However, this is a double-edged sword, because there are only so many traits keeping a Dainty resembling the same Dainty, so the guides for editing are a little firmer for MYOs!
Only minor edits are allowed for the stockings! You cannot rehaul stockings entirely without an edit bow so trade/buy carefully!
-You may edit MYOs/designs but you must get the edits approved by the Darling-Dainties group! (A short guide on how can be found above!)
-The design must resemble the original ~80%, as long as a mod can look at the original and tell it's the same design it's probably good!
The simpler a MYO design is the less it can be changed, because there are less elements to keep the same in a design, so keep that in mind! If you get a Dainty that has white stockings with polka dots at the top and you want to change the color or the polka dots, that's already half of the stockings' design! Meanwhile for intricate flower stockings with lace detailing you could do more editing, simplifying or changing, because the edits have less impact on the overall look!
Many MYO edits are judged on a case-by-case basis so this is NOT a definitive nor complete list of edits but here are some examples:
Typically allowed minor edits: eye color, skin tone*, weight*, gender, adding highlights/changing a hairstyle, adding skin blemishes, minor ear / tail / skin pattern changes
(It’s recommended to only change a few things from this list- more than a couple start to become a major change most of the time!)
Major edits: completely removing or redesigning the horns, changing the type of ears, removing major stocking elements (big bows, colors, etc.)
Not Allowed except with an edit bow: completely or majorly changing the stocking designs
Edits that do not need to be turned in for approval: outfits, styling the hair in different ways (ex: ponytails, braids, straightening hair, etc.), removable stocking accessories, anything that isn't a permanent change!
Adding additional hairstyles/wigs (color and length changes) and eye colors (through contacts) to your Dainty: this is allowed! Your Dainty can have 3 hairstyles or eye colors max! They must be sent in either on the original approval image or as "edits" later.
Adding additional crossbreed traits or changing crossbreed traits to a crossbreed Dainty: this is not allowed without a crossbreed potion! You cannot add additional traits simply because the design features some crossbreed traits already.
Additional edits and banned MYO design elements: THE NO-GO LIST
*Please consider carefully before lightening a dark skinned Dainty's skin, making an overweight Dainty thin or otherwise changing an aspect of a Dainty that could be considered hurtful towards a minority group. The Dainty staff as a whole must admit that they are not comfortable with these kind of changes, but it is extremely difficult to moderate.
Although it would be hard to moderate and isn't directly stated in the rules, we are not comfortable with it and we ask that you do not put us in the position to approve dainty edits with the previously stated traits. If a user still chooses to do so we will try our best to provide resources on why they are harmful and encourage the user to educate themselves before making that decision. In extreme cases, these things will be considered a major edit and you will not be able to make any other changes (no matter how minor including the use of an edit bow) to the dainty to discourage this behavior . For example clearly coded black skin to significantly lighter skin. If you want a character to look a certain way that goes against this please consider waiting to get a MYO slot instead of editing!
